Welcome to the world of Punjab Sweet Centre, a culinary gem nestled in Rugby, UK, at 165 Murray Rd, CV21 3JR. This vibrant eatery specializes in authentic Indian cuisine, with dishes that celebrate the rich heritage of Punjab while offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Punjab Sweet Centre isn't just about food; it's about an experience. Customers rave about the exceptional service provided by the friendly and humble staff, making each visit memorable. One patron, Gurjot Kang, spoke highly of their parathas, declaring them the best in Rugby. The chole bhature and maha di dal have also garnered praises for their unforgettable flavors. Meanwhile, Rinki Verma shared her delight in discovering familiar faces and exceptional service, highlighting the personal touch that keeps diners coming back.
Notably, the menu offers a diverse array of Indian staples, ranging from mouthwatering starters to divine desserts. Sangeetha Annan recounts her takeaway experience filled with the burst of Indian spices, showcasing favorites like halwa puri. The puris were described as soft, fluffy, and crispy—setting the stage for a delightful meal. For those with a sweet tooth, the jalebi and gulab jamun are must-tries, with jalebi’s crispiness contrasting beautifully against the soft, melt-in-your-mouth jamuns.
One standout aspect of Punjab Sweet Centre is the unique touch of dining ambiance. Abbigail Grant recalls how the frothy hot milk served alongside her tea was a delightful surprise, enhancing her overall dining experience. Combined with the high chairs available and a cozy setting, it's a family-friendly destination where everyone can enjoy a taste of India.
However, no dining experience is without its quirks. While the aroma of spices fills the air, some diners have noted a slight oil smell around the shop. Despite this, the delectable offerings and overall ambiance make it well worth a visit. As Manjit Kaur pointed out after her recent dinner experience, the friendly staff and attentive service contribute to a dining atmosphere that engages all the senses.

“ We stopped here after visiting Rugby for the first time to run an errand. We were served by the lovely Tuvor and his customer service was amazing. So glad we chose to go here as they have different options of the style of foods you can get including some Indian cuisines. I’ve also never had hot frothy milk served with my tea which was such a treat! Would recommend! ”
“ Few days back ordered some parathas from them, it was amazing, Best parathas in rugby. Been there for once to eat in, it was great experience lady at the front was so humble, tried their chole bhature maha di dal and salted lassi, which was way delicious. Will definitely recommend to visit once. ”
“ We ordered takeaway from them. Neatly packed with bursting flavours of Indian spices. The food was really good. They have a wide variety of dishes from starters to deserts.Halwa puri was my favourite. Puri was soft, fluffly, and crispy. We got some sweets ( jalebi, gulab jamoon) as well. The jamuns were so soft, melting in mouth instantly. The jalebis were good but I think they fried it in fish oil as it tasted like that. The only drawback was the oil smell around the shop , it was hard to breath around it with my kid beside. Otherwise, good ambience, high chairs available and lovely spot. I would definitely visit again to try more from their menu. ”
